 Компания Symantec выпустила версии продуктов Norton Internet Security 2010 и Norton AntiVirus 2010, в которых реализована принципиально новая модель защиты под названием Quorum. Отличительной особенностью продуктов линейки 2010 является способность детектировать угрозы «нулевого дня» (zero-day) – антивирусы оснащены технологией, позволяющей распознавать неизвестные вредоносные программы посредством анализа их репутации. При этом в отношении известных угроз применяется сигнатурный метод. Кроме того, значительные изменения претерпела технология Norton Insight, позволяющая ускорить процесс сканирования за счет проверки только изменившихся файлов. Теперь технология по запросу пользователя предоставит дополнительную информацию об интересующих его приложениях, включая активность, поведение, репутацию и т.д. Технология родительского контроля и спам-фильтр в версиях 2010 были также значительно переработаны с целью повышения их эффективности. Пользователям Norton Internet Security 2010 станет доступна бесплатная подписка на сервис OnlineFamily.Norton – онлайн-систему родительского контроля, не так давно выпущенную компанией Symantec.
